You ready for some popcorn?! 😀 this is my go-to snack since forever. You can’t go wrong with it and it’s pretty guilt-free, especially compared to chips and other snack “foods”. So give this a go and tell me what you think, also leave me a comment and share your favorite popcorn toppings & combos!
Homemade Organic Popcorn
(Yields 5-10 cups)
Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
Seasonings (my recipe below)
Using your popcorn maker/machine or a very large pot with a lid, turn on and heat up (medium heat)
Add in about 1/2-1 tbsp of coconut oil, depending on the quantity you wish to pop (1/2-1 tbsp for 1/4-1/2 cup of kernels)
Once your oil is fully melted, pour in your kernels and cover, shaking every 10-15 seconds to avoid burning
It should take about 1-2 minutes till the action starts and another 1-2 minutes till it stops (you want to make sure you listen for a pause about 3-5 seconds long, it’s done!)
Take it off the heat, shake and open it away from yourself, just to be safe
Pour in a giant bowl and sprinkle with your favorite seasonings while it’s still hot
Below I’ve included my mix of seasonings I make in “bulk” (2 ounces) and use for tons of things!

1 tbsp Kosher Salt
1 tbsp Organic Sugar
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Nutritional Yeast
1 tsp Smoked Paprika
1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
I really love using this mixture, it’s savory, salty & slightly sweet! Which is exactly what I love!
I also like adding some dried chives and/or vegan parmesan cheese over the finished bowl.
